The rapid growth of the first financial technology (fintech) platform in the country, FSB Indonesia or Fundo, cannot be separated from the role of Aida Sutanto.
Most recently, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fundo kicked off the Indonesian fintech world because it was included in the list of the top 45 candidates for members of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority.
This achievement is quite extraordinary. The reason is, Aida managed to eliminate at least 1,450 competent candidates from various backgrounds. The competition was so tight considering that all candidates were up.

Fundo is the first securities auction fintech platform in Asia and the only one in Indonesia. Aida Sutanto, founder of Fundo, said that Fundo, established in 2019, has received a positive response from investors because it provided promising returns with an average profit of 10%-18% per year. So it’s not surprising that currently the auction products launched by Fundo are being hunted by millennial investors with their high financial literacy and risk aversion type. “Fundo sells securities from bona fide companies, we are very selective in choosing securities,” Aida said. In addition, through Fundo, MSMEs can quickly gain access to working capital to increase cash flow and create jobs, so they can focus on growing their business.

For both individual and institutional investors, Fundo’s auction platform provides a wide range of reliable investment products, offering stable short-term returns with moderate risk. Last year, Fundo provided financing to 2,000 micros, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). As of April 2022, it had reached 3,000 MSMEs and are targeted to grow three times by the end of the year with a smaller MSME size. “Our focus is to help MSMEs provide easy access to capital,” said Aida. Fundo aims for double target this year. To pursue this growth, the company plans to release new products in the first half of this year and to enter Sumatran markets next year. “We are currently reviewing products for financing SMEs to go export,” she said.
